NEWS June 2011: "Porsche Design - The Battle" (colorgrading and Flame by Scanwerk) wins the next award, the Gold Camera in the category public relations at the U.S. International Film & Videos Festivals 2011.

NEWS June 2011: The FIFA Women's World Cup in Germany starts on 26 June and takes place in Germany this time. Scanwerk was very happy to colorcorrect the official spot ordered by the German Soccer Association - DFB.

NEWS November 2010: The new Porsche Design Group image film "The Battle" which was colorcorrected and postproduced by Scanwerk wins in the cathegory Design & Accessoires at the 
World Luxury Award 2010. Besides that, the film won silver in the category Photo / Film at the 2010 competition of the DDC Deutschen Designer Clubs e.V. (German Design Club) in Frankfurt. More about the film here.

Awards October 2010: At this years' Eyes & Ears Awards CREATION, INNOVATION & EFFECTIVENESS, which were awarded on 14 October within the MEDIENTAGE MÜNCHEN, once again, lots of Scanwerk supervised productions won prizes, like trailers and IDs from MBC MAX, Sixx Chixx, Sat.1 - Anna und die Liebe, ProSieben, "Schlag den Raab" produced by ProSiebenSat.1 TV Deutschland, and the German comedy series "Danni Lowinski" (produced by ACHT FRANKFURT). AWARDS 2010: Awards 2010: The 
Idents of the Swiss broadcast station SF1, which were color corrected by Scanwerk won the Golden World Design Award this year.
NEWS October 2010: After the awards for lead actress Annette Frier (for best actress at the Bavarian Television Award and the Comedy Award 2010), the successful Sat.1 production Danni Lowinski, whose first season in 2009 was graded by Scanwerk, was not only the winner for the best German Comedy series Award, but also won at the German Television Awards.
NEWS October 2010: The new image film by Porsche Design, featuring
Hollywood star Billy Zane and Karel Roden has been running since the beginning of October. The post production of "Form and Function - The Battle "(color correction / Flame VFX) was done by Scanwerk. More about the film and the post here.
NEWS September 2010: The latest ProSieben trailer featuring Katy Perry performing her hit song "Teenage Dream" was colorcorrected by Scanwerk.
NEWS August 2010: The colorgrading of the new Sat.1 masterspots from director Alexander Krause, in which Kylie Minogue presents her new song "All the lovers", was colorgraded by Scanwerk. Other films by Alexander Krause and the ProSiebenSat.1 Starforce campaigns can be seen

NEWS JUNE 2010: Uli Stelzner's "La Isla" has once again been nominated for an high level prize. The documentary is in the running for the Witness Award about Human Rights and the Cinematic Vision Award at the Silverdocs Festival held in Washington D.C. from 21 to 27 June. JUNE 2010: The countdown is on. The trailer of the German Soccer Association (DFB) for the World CHampionship in South Africa, in association with Mercedes Benz was colorgraded by Scanwerk.
NEWS April 2010: The postproduction of the movie "Westflug" (director: Thomas Jauch) produced by Munich's Monaco GmbH for the German TV station RTL which has been handled by Scanwerk over the past few months is already finished. The film will be broadcasted on RTL at the end of 2010.
APRIL 2010: The IDs for the new digital ProSiebenSat.1 channel SIXX were colorcorrected by Scanwerk.
AWARDS April 2010: The campaigns of German broadcast stations ProSieben and those of kabel eins, all of which were colorcorrected by Scanwerk, won three very important international awards at the PromaxBDA Europe Awards, which is probably the most important awards for Design, Promotion and Marketing in the media branch. They even took place from the 19th till the 20th of April in Lisbon: the campaign "ProSieben 3.0" won the Gold Award for Best On-Air Branding Design and its animation the Silver Award for Best Animation. The relaunch of the kabel eins image campaign was honoured with a Gold Award in the category Best On Air Programme Campaign.

NEWS VFX April 2010: After a bidding process with digital artists from Imagineer Systems, an extract of Digital artist Akira Endo's work was chosen by Mocha producer Imagineer Systems for their official showreel. You can watch it on their homepage, the tracked handy is Akira's contribution.
NEWS VFX April 2010: The official trailer for the FFK10 (the Flash Forward Conference, which took place on April 14th and 15th in Cologne) was created by digital artist Akira Endo in cooperation with Robert Hranitzky and Michael Muench. The trailer was also chosen for the channel's "main titles" on vimeo.com. Have a look.
NEWS April 2010: The new TV series "Danni Lowinski" on the German TV station Sat.1, began airing the first 13 episodes on the 12th April. The series which was produced by Sat.1, and the first season was colorcorrected by Scanwerk.
SPOTLIGHT April 2010: Highlights April 2010: The Scanwerk post-produced film "La Isla - Archives of a Tragedy" is currently viewing in the country of origin - Guatemala. The director and creator of the documentary informed us of what took place. On Saturday, 17/04/2010 there was a bomb threat and an attempt to cut the power to prevent a showing of the highly explosive political films. Nevertheless, the viewing took place with 2,000 spectators.
We quote Uli Stelzner: "So far unreleased footage, CIA documents, etc. including charges implicating the right-wing presidential candidate and ex-General Perez Molina. In the days before the premiere attacked its party, the German Embassy and threw the Guatemalan government in a targeted smear campaign. The then abandoned government and embassy on their welcome speech at the premiere. On the day of the premiere, there was a bomb threat in the morning at the National Theater, which triggered alarms, and special forces moved in. A few hours before the start, the power supply was cut off by persons unknown. Major security measures were taken and the sceening was finally allowed to take place. Afterwards there were moving scenes in the end. After 3 performances over the weekend there were a total of 6,000 spectators. The event, and the breaking of the silence about the film is now a part of Guatemala's history. As exciting and beautiful as cinema can be. " We wish all the best. NEWS February 2010: March is already here, and on the 18th of this month, Carl A. Fechner's documentary "The 4th revolution" (postproduced by Scanwerk) premieres in German cinemas. "Energy Autonomy" is of great concern for the filmmaker, not only to film but also with the community and various events nationwide that could possibly usher in an energy shift towards one hundred percent coverage of energy needs through renewable energy sources and shedding some light in how to accomplish this shift in the near future. NEWS January 2010: On behalf of UnitedSenses, Scanwerk was over the past few months charged with conducting the HD-telecine, mastering and the color correction for the ARD Vancouver 2010 trailer. In the service of the new viewing pleasure! The German public broadcasting TV station will be broadcasting the upcoming Winter Olympics in Vancouver, Canada also in the new TV standard. Since the Winter Olympics starts on the 12th of February, it also marks the beginning of ARD broadcasting in HDTV. With the use of an HD receiver or TV set, viewers can expect to enjoy an impressive picture quality.
For the past five years Scanwerk has exclusively scanned from negative material in HD. The quality standard of high-definition formats has gained acceptance worldwide and has now also conquered the world of television. At Scanwerk this high-quality standard is the starting point for efficient processing in post production.

PROJECT December 2009: For some weeks now, the postproduction of the elaborate documentary "Energy Autonomy" has taken place at Scanwerk, a film which shall bear a cross-social atmosphere of departure and inspiration towards a 4th revolution, which dedicates to the possibility to switch to 100% renewables within the next 30 years. The film was shooted in ten countries on four continents. The 93-minute film shall be brought to German cinemas in 2010. Visit also the homepage of the project.
AWARD: The best short film award in the cathegory "Best Film Awards - International" at this year's New York International Independent Film and Video Festival was presented to Studio Seidel Film "SPPD: The Pig is Dead". The pilot for the serial produced for the internet as a persiflage on typical crime series was colorcorrected by Scanwerk. Read more.

AWARD October 2009: The anniversary film "MAN 250 years" directed by Jan Litzinger, postproduced by Scanwerk, receives a Gold Award at the 17th ITVA Festival. The award ceremony takes place during the EXPONATE/FINE ART COLOGNE. The film has already won numerous awards: in January 2009, the Gold World Medal at the New York Festivals; in April 2009, the Golden Intermedia-Globe, in September 2009 the Silver OTTOCAR. Finally, the film has also been nominated for the German Economy Award by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology.
NEWS October 2009: Uli Stelzner's documentary "La Isla - Archives of a Tragedy" colorcorrected by Scanwerk has just been chosen as one of the films in the official selection 2009 of the biggest documentary film festival in Amsterdam. GRADING October 2008: In these days the grading of the television movie "Westflug" takes place by Scanwerk. It will probably be broadcasted on the German TV station RTL in 2010. By order of RTL Television, Monaco Film GmbH produced „Westflug – Hijacking out of Love“. The shooting of the film directed by Thomas Jauch and telling a love story in the East-Western context, performed by Sophie von Kessel, Oliver Mommsen and Hendrik Duryn in the leading roles, took place from the 4th August till September the 29th 2009 in Cologne and Berlin. The film tells a true story which happened in 1978, the love story between the East German Anja who falls in love with Michael from the West with whom she can get together only by a spectacular republic escape by plane.
UPCOMING: Uli Stelzner's politically explosive documentary "La Isla - Archives of a tragedy" will be colorgraded by Scanwerk soon. It deals with one of the darkest times in the history of Guatemala. In 2005, the hidden police archives were discovered in the capital and since then human rights activists are engaged in revealing the incidents and crimes during the long civil war. NEWS September 2009: From hairdresser to lawyer in a class of her own. SAT.1 lets produce a new comedy series, the colorgrading was handled by Scanwerk in the late summer. Annette Frier performs a lawyer, who offers her services in a very particular way, after not having found a job in any law firm: in a mini office within a shopping arcade next to the car park door - costs of the advisory: one Euro per minute. The shootings for the first seven chapters have been finished. The material was scanned and colorcorrected by Scanwerk and will be broadcasted in summer 2010. Phoenix Film Karlheinz Brunnemann GmbH & Co. Produktion KG was responsible for this production.
NEWS October 2009: The postproduction made by Scanwerk on the Audi R8 showroom film (see the making of below) has been chosen as one of the topics for the CGI (Computer Generated Imaging) special edition of DESIGNER'S DIGEST. A top-class magazine with the highest publication standards, always in search for new innovations in the areas of design, photography and lifestyle. The typographical perfection of the print edition in large size has been inspiring its readers for 25 years. In this special edition, DESIGNER'S DIGEST collects "top-rate performances in the area of CGI composition which demonstrates new creative potential right before your very eyes" (cit.: introduction CGI special edition). PROJECT September 2009: Christmas bells sooner than awaited. The colorgrading for the C&A Christmas campaign 2009 is taking place at Scanwerk at the moment.
AUGUST ADDITION, 2009: New acquisition in the area VFX and compositing: Scanwerk acquires the Flame from Autodesk. Our digital artists will have at their disposal one of the best tools for real time 2D and 3D-compositing, enlarged graphics and interactive design which is at the moment the top of the line in the market. NEWS August 2009: Sports fans of the whole world meet in Berlin. There, the IAAF Athletics World Championships take place in this year. Toyota is official partner and sponsor of this event. The commercial "Toyota Prius" was colorgraded by Scanwerk.
NEWS August 2009: "Desperados on the Block" at the 57th Festival de San Sebastian (www.sansebastianfestival.com)!! The Film is also nominated for the First Steps Award in Berlin (www.firststeps.de)
AWARD: August 2009: "Desperados on the Block" wins the Newcomer's Award in Starnberg.
TIP: The film "Desperados on the Block" from Tomasz Emil Rudzik, produced by Toccata Film with post-production from Scanwerk, was nominated in January for the Max Ophül's Award. The film runs at the Five Lakes Film Festival in Starnberg and Herrsching and is competing for the Newcomer's Award. More info here:
NEWS July, 2009: Julia Zimanofsky's film "Escape" wins this year's "Shocking Shorts Award" of the stations 13th Street. The short horror film was postproduced by Scanwerk. Here is the trailer:
NEWS June 2009: Currently the new Vodafone campaign "Vodafone Heroes" is being colorgraded by Scanwerk.
NEWS: For the past few months, Scanwerk has handled the color correction duties for the new series "Danny Lowinski" which will soon be aired on Sat.1.
NEWS: For the production company Filmstyler Pictures, Scanwerk has completed the grading for the opening credits "Die Vorleser" broadcasted by ZDF - announced as the new "Literarisches Quartett" - and also the popular series "Unser Charlie".
PROJECT: In the February edition of MacUp, the monthly magazine that covers contemporary evolutions around hardware and software for Macintosh products and Apple, with a focus on media productions, graphics and animation, the magazine reported on the postproduction of the new Audi R8 showroom film. Audi Ingolstadt had commissioned the Munich postproduction company Ziggy Film with this HD project. They organized the shootings in the Austrian Alps and sent the material to Scanwerk for postproduction. Peter Deinas assumed the telecine, the elaborate shots were handled by motion graphics designer Akira Endo and Robert Hranitzky, the author of the article, with a little help from Adobe Photoshop, after Effects as well as Cinema 4D R11.

PROJECT: At the end of 2008, Scanwerk, in cooperation with Tom Moran from Pool Productions, produced a short trailer in full HD for the latest Kawasaki motorbike ER-6n. The trailer should be shown at the Intermat Cologne as a world premiere for the release of their latest motorbike on the market. Tom Moran was the director of the one-minute movie, Peter Deinas made the telecine, Akira Endo, Robert Hranitzky, Daniel Hennies and Max Iglesias are credited for the motion graphics and 3D modellings. The motorbike which is situated in a 3D cityscape, should always remain the protagonist and be perfectly integrated in the design of the cityscape.
